Enduro Hardtails - yep they are a thing
150mm forks, 2.4" tires. Short stems and slack head angles. Who needs rear suspension! These bikes are at the budget end of the scale, but built to handle the tough stuff. Check out the Nukeproof Scout, made to withstand the hard Scottish winter, and easily able to cope with whatever Aussi terrain can throw at it.
If you are in the market for a bike, and the budget cant stretch to dually, then go ahead and try one. I recently traded my 150mm Enduro bike for a Scout and it was fun. Super easy and nimble to whip about, but with the stability of a slack head angle and the efficiency of a hard tail.
